Operations Manager

What do you do at NSD Labels?

Currently I oversee all operations from creating the plan to ordering the raw materials.  I manage a team of 35 people.

What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?

 I have worked at NSD since I left school and carried out a printing apprenticeship. I was lucky enough to be asked to go on the digital printing press and become the first digital label printer in the UK. From here I was given various management positions within the company as my career progress and now operations manager.

What do you like about working at NSD Labels?

Everyday is different and some days are really challenging. I also enjoy working with all the people as they are a great team and support to what we are trying to do within the business.

What is something customers in your industry are challenged with that you can help with /fix?

From concept to label production using the very best technology and having a great team to delivery the very best quality.

What’s your background?

I have now worked at NSD for 30 years starting as an apprentice and gradually worked my way to my current position.  

What are the values that drive you?

Pride and passion are my two main values. I would also like to think I can be professional but as one person said to me yesterday I can be that mischievous big brother when I try to bring a bit banter and laughter to the team.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Spending time with the family, Holidays and try and play 5 a side football.
